In about a year I will be a MacMan!

Keep in mind that if you are going to take a year to save, then this Mac will most likely not be the exact same one available by then. There will likely be a newer version. There could also be a whole new Mac out by then, a completely new model. Not saying that there will be, but it is indeed possible.

I guess what I am getting at is to not get too attached to a saved order like that, unless you plan on getting it in less than a week.

Okay thanks, but if they do come out with a new model, will the price be higher?

Nobody but Apple can answer that... and not until that time comes.

Just bear in mind that currently Phtoshop is not Universal Binary. Therefore it will have to run under Rosetta.
Saying that it runs ok on my Imac.

Strictly from my base instinct I would imagine that it should work, there were some benchmark tests somewhere (ill try to find link) which had the Mac Pro, PowerMac G5, iMac 17inch Intel and a XPS. The iMac did okay on Doom 3, though the fact Doom 3 was a nVidia game meant that nVidia cards had a advantage on really high resolutions.

Anyway as for Counter Strike Source that should run easially, I can play it on one of my old PCs which has these specs:
2.8ghz P4 (no HT)
512mb RAM
GeForce 6200 256mb VRAM

I easially get enough FPS on high settings. As the game normally plays better on ATi cards I would imagine it should be fine.

Though maybe everything is different in the Mac world :p in which case im wrong. I cannot imagine a problem though.
