when trying to burn a dvd I get a screen that says I dont have enough memory in the working directory. It says I need 10.4G and when I check my disk, there is 100G. What is the problem?

To help us help you, which Mac is this? Which version of OSX? What program you using to burn your DVD's?

Is there only one hard drive on the system?

It sounds like you're trying to burn something from a disk image or a CD, something not re-writable...

Another problem could be that a DVD can only hold a little over 4 GB. You ar likely trying to put 10.4 GB onto a 4 GB DVD, and the Mac is sensisbly saying "HEY! Not enough room!".

Aren't you trying to jam too much onto one DVD?

That is a good possibility! Good going. The way I read his post I figured it meant Temp Directory.

How large is the Internal Hard Drive in that Mini? How much free space is on the Internal? Reason I ask is that the largest HDD in the Mini is 80GB. I am pretty sure that the Internal drive will be used for any Temp Directory while burning and maybe your Internal HDD is low on space.

Don't worry about your hard drive. Try cutting down the amount you are trying to burn onto the DVD to less than 4 GB and see if the problem goes away. I bet it will. I agree that the error message you are getting is not the most intuitive in the world, but I bet you just don't have enough room on a 4 GB DVD for what you are trying to put there.
