What to do with spare hard drive

I have a G5 tower with the standard 250 gig hard drive install I also have a external 250 hard drive connected by firewire 800 for video editing. I have a 160 gig serial hard drive doing nothing but sitting in a box. Should I install it in my mac and store all my imac backups on it? Is this a good idea or should just get another external backup?

You should definitely have a backup drive somewhere...

If it will fit inside the Mac, why not use it as an internal backup drive?

a serial drive internally would be a good option after having an external

I put a second 250GB in the tower and love having it there, only wish it were two 500GB drives.

Installing the drive is simple if concern over that is keeping you from throwing it in there.
