- iMac 27-inch, Late 2013
I have a Late 2013 27” iMac with a 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 and 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3. I’m looking to replace the 8 GB with either 16 or 32 GB.
I went to Crucial.com and used their system scanner and it told me the following was compatible with my Mac:
Crucial 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR3L – 1600 SODIMM Memory for Mac.
They are Out of Stock at Crucial so I did some research on Amazon by sorting the reviews by 1 star. There were different issues for different people; I understand that. The one that stuck out the most is as follows:

“Kernel errors (crashes / forced restarts) on 27-inch, late-2013 iMac. Returned to Amazon. Kernel errors on Apple support and other websites cite defective external RAM as the likely culprit.
Attempted numerous reinstalls. Problems persist.
No errors once this RAM is uninstalled.
Sorry folks: This is a no-go for the 27-inch, late-2013 iMac. It'll register and trick you into thinking it's working, but if you notice your computer crash, it's likely this. It's inconvenient, but it is what it is.”
Here’s the Amazon link to that post by: Meet Kevin:

I’m wondering if anyone has had similar issues or am I just suffering from research overload. If there's anything I'm overlooking or should be aware of, please don't hesitate let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
