Dark lines in the screen

Hello Mac forum

I have an iMac 2012 which is working well, except for the fact that in the screen since 6 months ago I started to see a squared dark lines in the center of the screen, does anybody knows if this is a serious problem? I want to fix it but I don't know how much is it gonna cost. Some advice would be good.

Can you supply a screenshot or a photo and maybe some of the gurus can tell you what a likely cause would be?
