Ultrawide Monitors for iMac27

Hi All.

New to IMac... I have a 27" coming and want to add an ultrawide display.

If anyone has a strong recommendation of new model ultrawide monitors, 34" or greater (greater is better!), much appreciated!

What do I need to look for to be sure that it will work with the iMac? Must it say it supports Thunderbolt 3? If Thunderbolt is not required by name, is it ok to use any USB-C capable display?

You just need to make sure that any Ultra-Wide monitor you buy is fully supported by your new iMac. If necessary, get hold of the manufacturer support and ask. We have seen that some Ultra-Wides work while others give lousy results. Most of the Ultra-Wides currently on the market are built to work with Windows type video cards so be sure to do your homework before spending the big $$$.
