Mac mini requesting keychain password yet I have never set up a keychain

2007 mac mini core2duo, snow lepord, 1 gig mem
I have a late 2012 Mc Mini running OS X 10.9.5. I shut the machine down as I was relocating it from 1 room to another. When I turned the machine back on and entered my password, it went to the desktop screen and then requested my keychain password. It has never asked for this before as I have never set up keychain for passwords. It will now not let me do anything. I was able to get into the keychain application yet when I try to do anything within there I just get the spinning beach ball and it will not do anything from there.
How can I access my computer?
