iMac 24" 3.06GHz dead. Whats to do?

My iMac 24" dies while ago and I was wondering... can I use it for something?

At the apple store they tell me that I can fix it paying 700€ (maybe VGA card or motherboard)... so I´m not going to repair it... but can I use it for something? maybe as a secondary montitor or whatever?

As Nick suggests eBay for parts. Folk are always looking for screens etc and seven years is a pretty good run.
