IMac
Hi,
I have Found forums such as this one an invaluable resource. So here is my questions: I just bought a beautiful IMAC 24", our 4th MAC computer in the family! I love it. The only issues I have is the puny keyboard, without a numbers pad, all those USB wires (which are way to short) and a that mouse! While usable, it is not user friendly to me.
So what are your recommendations for a wired MAC style keyboard that has a command, normal Apple function keys, a number pad, and works well? Second: what mouse would you pick, that is wireless but not bluetooth?
OK thats it,
Thanks, Jeff

I use the full size wired Apple aluminum keyboard which sells for $49.99. It also has two USB ports, however, they are not suitable (low current) for attaching an external hard drive or disk drive.

Wireless mouse - Logitech models are nice and work well with Apple hardware.

Regards.

If you don't want to pay Apple-type prices, nearly ALL generic PC keyboards will work with your iMac. Personally, I like the Chicony brand. I use a no-name optical mouse, and have done for three years without trouble. There are minor adjustments you, the user, need to make if using a non-Apple keyboard.

i just got my imac 24 a few days ago and i totally agree with you regarding the mouse. it feels very uncomfortable in my hand aside from being wired. i was thinking of getting their wireless model but found out that logitech also supports mac os so i ended up getting the logitech mx revolution. very comfortable.
