all videos skip, stall, audio cuts in & out...

Recently videos on my G4, QUICKSILVER, 733 Mhz. have begun this stalling, jumping, skipping parts of the movie and the audio cuts in & out. THis occurs in most all formats and video playback software. How can I correct this?:(

24" iMac 2.8GHz 4GB 320HD,4TH GEN 8GB SILVER NANO, 8GB Black Nano, 16GB 2G iPod Touch
I am having the same problem with my 2 month old 24" iMac 2.8GHz 4GB memory it gets very annoying.Youtube videos play fine but if I try and watch any other videos it is very choppy
