what is the best way, if any, to integrate forums into an iwebs created webpage?

i dont know what variation of forums i will use, but i do know that i eventually want my website to have forums.

ok, i read through the link above. one thing i didnt see though.

instead of adding the forum as a frame inside of a page, i'd like to just add another clickable link in the top menu, and have that go to the forum page. how can i do that?
