3500US for the vision pro. A little rich for me for now. Maybe someday if it gets a little cheaper. Looks amazing for sure.

and M2max and ultra mac studios, defied rumors to the contrary. Perhaps the M1max ones will be cheaper in refurb!

Apple announced some pretty cool hardware today:

* First ever 15" MacBook Air
* 2nd generation Mac Studio with M2 max & M2 Ultra chips.
* FINALLY...first Apple Silicon Mac Pro released!!!
* Last & not least the Vision Pro Headset.

Wow...Vision Pro Headset some unbelievable new technology here. Not available until the end of the year. Yes very expensive...but just like with all tech...if it does well...prices will drop big-time eventually. My biggest concern is battery life.

Is it me, or is the base model Mac studio 200 more now (Canadian). I thought it was 2499 now it seems it's 2699.

I think the M1 Mac Studio from Apple Canada was $2699CAD.

Here's a base model M1 Mac Studio from the refurb area of Apple Store Canada:



The circled price ($2429) was the former refurb price. The current price shown ($2059) is the "blow-out" price due to the M2 Mac Studio intro.

Original price was very likely $2699CAD.

The former refurb Canadian price was 22 something, I’ve been watching it for a while now, I almost went for one. A couple others pointed out the hike in Canadian prices. I wondered if it had anything to do with exchange fluctuations. I had thought original prices were 2499 and 4999 for ultra. Hmmmm.

edit: check other Canadian retailer sites that haven’t been updated yet, all 2499 and 4999 respectively. So I’m not sure something is odd, or my memory is really shot.

This Canadian retailer like all the other ones haven't updated or show any M2max/ultras yet.

I'm sure you're right...maybe there's been some sort of international currency adjustments.

I've been watching the US Apple Store refurb like a hawk...and know the prices there very well. Sounds like you've been doing the same with Apple Store Canada.

Well I second guessed myself there, it seems odd they would raise the price 200 bucks on just the base model. But it seems that may have happened. I have been watching apple Canada's refurb Mac studios like a hawk for some time now yeah.

I don't know anymore. I ordered a 14 mbp m2pro refurb for my wife as hers is 10yrs old now, so I may have to wait anyway. I was hoping to see the refurb drop a bit more than that.
