I have PowerBook G4, which have two ports, 1 FW400 and 1 FW800. My issue with this is that both ports share the same FW module, so I can't hook up my external HD and videocamera at the same time because the camera is not recognized, so I have to capture to the internal drive, which is almost full
What do you do, iMac owners, to capture video?
Thanks

Personally, I don't by crappy external hard disks that don't have a passthrough port.

In your case, I'd buy a hub.

I have a first generation 24" mac and it has both FW 400 and 800! Has this changed on the later models. 800 is probably all you need anyway.
