where is my Thunderbird profile?

hi,

I have new MBP, running Monterrey 12.6...
I just installed Thunderbird, an email client, and set up one account... according to the settings, profile for that account is here..
/Users/<myName>/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/9u7m7qyg.default-release/Mail/pop.googlemail.com

only problem is, I can find no dir "Library" under Users/<myName>/...

I need to transfer Thunderbird profiles (yes, have more than one account set up in Thundebird) to my new computer, but if the location being shown now for the account profile doesn't exist, what then?

(PS: there is a Library dir under Macintosh HD, but I see no dir Thunderbird in there..)

I also searched for "9u7m7qyg.default-release" in entire computer, not found...
also searched for "Thunderbird", not found.....

so am basically stuck here.. can't transfer profiles until I can solve this..

Try the first method in the article. It's probably the easiest way to get where you need to be.

Here are a couple of things to remember just as an FYI

1. The "Library" that you found is for the entire system. In addiction to that library there is one library folder inside each users account. That directory is normally hidden but it's the one you're looking for as that's where apps store various user specific files.

2.Searching for that folder using the Mac's Spotlight function doesn't help. Sotlight doesn't search that folder. I think there is third-party software that does.

3. You probably know this but in the pathname you included in your first post substitute your username where the path says <myName>
