I don't think a Mac Pro is necessary for anything but running a full song PCI-bus driven interface like a Pro-Tools HD, Appogee or top dog MOTU. I am running quite a bit of effects and tracks and haven't had any issues, I think an iMac is great solution for amateurs.</p></blockquote><p></p>
