Not connected with Mac stuff but I'd be grateful for confirmation.

I've just bought a gadget (not Mac related) that I was expecting to come with a 13a UK plug but this is not the case. There's simply a USB plug and a cable terminating in a barrel connector. However, I have some USB power sources (some Mac and some others) that connect to the mains via 13a plugs. This gadget needs 5v and .6A. The centre of the barrel connector is positive.

Can I assume that all USB power sources (those built into 13A sockets and those built into 13A plugs) will be suitable?

Thanks in advance.

That is a reasonable assumption, but before using it I would check with a voltmeter.
