I have a MacBook Pro Mid-2014 model (Retina, 13-inch) and I am tired of having to replace the entire Magsafe 2 charger whenever the rubber around its connector frays. It's a waste having to replace the entire charger when all that needs to be changed is the connector.

Is there any way to use the newer USB-C chargers with a Macbook Pro Mid-2014? For example, any adaptor that could accomplish this? The cable for these can simply be replaced without having to throw out the power adapter as well.

Thanks in advance.

You would have to search for a usb-c to MagSafe cable/cord.

Do you or anyone know if there are any which are Apple approved?

Amazon has a large variety of adapters and cables, however, none of them are stated to be Apple approved. If you want something that's Apple approved, you probably need to look at what Apple has available.
