UGREEN....safe and reliable option?

Hi Guys,

I am in the process of pulling together a new work-station.

I am currently resident in Brazil and electrical accessories can be inordinately expensive; eg, an excellent recommendation for an ANKER HMDI-USBc/Thunderbolt 3 adapter 4k@60Hz which retails for $13 in the US was finally tracked down on Amazon, here, for roughly $130 !

As a result, my search has widened somewhat and the UGREEN label comes up again and again. I have no experience of UGREEN.

As key components of the work-station (such as the category of adapter above) must prove up to the task, may I enquire whether anyone has experience of UGREEN Hub adapters HMDI-USBc/Thunderbolt 3 adapter 4k@60Hz ?

As a rider to the above, I shall require to connect to older USB versions as well as to a FullHD monitor and am pondering whether Hub adapters are equal to the task or whether it is preferable to procure one single adapter for the monitor and then a separate hub for all other connectivity?

Grateful for any sage advice and recommendations.

I have no personal experience with the Ugreen brand that is sold by Amazon. And since you're outside of the US in Brazil, prices are going to be higher - which I'm sure you're aware of.

I will say this: Not all hub adapters are compatible and may give varying results. Some may not work at all.

Procuring a single adapter for the monitor is a good plan since monitors tend to be more sensitive setting up.

Make sure anything you buy can be returned for a refund. Inquire first.

I have purchased some of the UGREEN products - six in all. Some cables and a couple of peripheral switchers boxes. All have worked well. I even purchased two SD card readers for work and was pleasantly surprised at how fast they were.

Seems logical and sound to me. Separate adaptor for the monitor and research each item to ensure its compatibility.

Hey Lisa,

Excellent. Personal experience; indeed, positive experience.

In the Brazilian market, over Amazon, they are far from the cheapest on offer but neither are they in the company of the highest priced. The market, here, is awash with extremely well made fakes....which look the part, work for a very short period but then give up the ghost. One is always wary.

Your experience suggests that UGREEN has proved to be a safe and reliable option and I shall return to their offerings on Amazon.
