Have you considered ordering on-line? I'd imagine you'd get it a lot quicker than waiting for a store to restock. Quicktime, but many prefer the excellent, free VLC Media Player. Either way, just about anything is better than WMP, IMO. There are many choices. Flip4Mac enables WMV compatibility in Quicktime, so you shouldn't have too much trouble with compatibility. There's a lot of choices here. I like Adium, but there's also Windows Messenger for Mac, and aMSN. Yes - and it's already built-in. Sometimes when companies don't have a quality product, their marketing departments kick it into high gear to try to make it seem artificially appealing. I guess more names, more editions are intended to appeal to a wider audience. I like Transmission, but there are many others. One of the nice things about Mac OS X is that it is UNIX-based, so it's easy to port Linux software over. So, there's a wealth of open-source software readily available - and what isn't, can be easily compiled.
