Hey! So I've got a mac mini 1,66 Ghz with a combo drive installed by default. Since I wanted to upgrade this to a superdrive I bought a superdrive on Ebay, Pioneer. My Mac Mini (10.6.1.) shows the drive correctly in the hardware information screen. However, when I put a dvd or cd in I hear a sound like 10 times and then it spits out my dvd or cd. So, since it's not working I've got two questions: 1. Does anybody know if I can fix the above issue or is the drive just simply broken? 2. If it's broken, is a Sony Optiarc AD-7700S slimline drive compatible with Mac/my Mac Mini? If so, I might just buy this since it's not so pricy. Thanks in advance! Best regards, Fabian:)
