I have a 333 Mhz imac. With only 2 USB ports. And I'm going to this week order a 17 inch intel imac. And my question is what's the best way to transfer the data from the old imac to the new one? I have music files, Firefox bookmarks, general files, and apps, and other stuff I need to have transferred over. About 45 GB in total. Will I have to re put in the registration codes for the apps I have on the new imac. I think I'll have to. Maybe reinstalling the ones I have on cd is a better option? Would using the 30 GB ipod I have as a portable drive be the best option? It'd take ages as uploading 25+ gig to it though. Is there a better option to do this? And is there any system info I'd need to transfer. The old imac has 10.3.9 and the new one I'm assuming 10.4.something. Thanks in advance.
