MBP Early 2013 15" Retina OS: 10.13.3

Trying to stream my MBP to my Samsung TV with a full screen picture.

Tried MBP on WiFi and Airplay through the Apple TV box but couldn't get picture/sound in sync and got a jumpy picture.

I have now bought a Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet connector and connected my MBP directly into my (BT) hub and internet is fine and no WiFi in the loop.

When I plug the HMDI cable from the TV into the MBP the picture jumps to a half screen square on the computer and TV. Under the System Preferences the Display shows "optimised for Samsung".

Any idea how I can get a full screen picture,

Using the hard wiring rather than WiFi has resolved the jumpy picture/sync business.

If the TV was properly detected once the HDMI cable was plugged in, you can try scaling the picture size if that's supported. Depending on what you are trying to stream, perhaps accessing it directly from the Apple TV would help.

In general, the less loops/hoops you go through the better the performance and outcome it going to be.
