I followed this vcast: http://howto.diveintomark.org/remote-mac/ Enabled remote login on the mac. ssh-keygen -t to create keys. Updated the /etc/sshd_config file to portForwarding yes and usePAM no. Created the authorized_keys file in the .ssh directory and added a public key. Set the port forwarding on my Verizon dsl modem to my mac's ip address. Set up a dynamic dns for the mac. Ping successful. In putty, I pointed to the private key file, and in ssh-tunnels, added a forwarded port to localhost:5900. Putty gives me "Network error: connection refused" I disabled the router firewall, and the mac firewall is disabled for remote login - no good. Any clues? Thanks in advance.
