Thanks for your suggestion. I’ve been into Preferences for Mail 8.2 and fiddled around and also compared this signature set-up with the one that I had in Mail 4.6. However, despite my best efforts the situation remains as follows: When I create a new e-mail in Mail 4.6, the little signature box on the right comes up with “None”; if I need to include the liability disclaimer, I scroll down to “Liability”. However, when I create a new e-mail in Mail 8.2, the little signature box on the right comes up with “Liability” and the liability disclaimer is plonked automatically at the end of all my e-mails, including those to my Uncle Bob and anyone else! Of course, I can (and usually do) remember at once to scroll up to “None” or to delete the liability disclaimer when I get to the end of the e-mail but sometimes when I’m in a hurry I omit to do this. Friends and relations then wonder why I’m including this pompous sounding blurb. I wish that I could make it default to “None” Thanks in advance for any help.
