Showering with Apple Watch

Picked me up a Apple Watch today and have done a ton of looking online about showering with it. Just wondering if I can hear from anyone who has actually had one fail from showering. Thanks in advance btw. Mine is a SS 42mm version. Nice feel. Liking it so far. Mostly for it for the neatly apps

If you like it go to the effort of removing before showering. It is NOT waterproof.

I went through the effort of reading about the water resistance of the Apple Watch which i mentioned. I might add very few watches are waterproof however there is a good bunch water resistant. Including my g-shock which is resistant to 20bar. However many many many people shower with there apple watches including Tim Cook. I have seen many say they have had no problems but haven't seen any that said they have. Which is why I created the thread.

However many many many people shower with there apple watches including Tim Cook.

I bet Tim Cook has a pretty easy time getting his iWatch repaired/replaced!

I have been wearing a watch for 20-30 years never having to remove my watch for showers. I have no desire to use my watch in the shower and I am taking it off. I was more worried about if I forget due to habit is my watch gonna be ruined.

I am wondering if anyone has been in the shower the watch and then after the watch was toast.

I think that you're doing the safe & prudent thing not wearing your Apple watch in the shower…but at the same time I can completely understand how after 20-30 years of wearing watches in the shower…there could certainly be the occasional accident (not removing the Apple watch before showering).
