I found myself yet again running out of window space on my 2019 27" (never thought that would happen :))

Looking for recommendations for a "cost effective" 27" second monitor. Don't need a "gaming" monitor, prefer one with better color (IPS?). It will be mostly as an overflow screen.

Note: I just discovered I could use my Roku 4K equipped TV as a second screen via Airplay (cool!!) but it's above and behind the computer and kinda hard to see clearly (I require computer glades and with two displays at different focal distances one pair of glades won't work for both, at least not well). It works...but not as a permanent solution.

Thanks!

I can heartily recommend a 27" Viewsonic monitor that I've been using for nearly 9 months now. 4K resolution, HDMI and USBC with 2 USBA ports as well for connecting things (I've got some RGB backlight and a screen lamp thingy). I use it for fairly colour critical work and out the box it was accurate, and I've not ended to calibrate it since. My old Samsung monitor needed re-cal every few weeks. It's not cheap, but not stupidly expensive either.

The iMac internal 5k display is VERY GOOD, anything else 27” sized with less that 4k resolution will be noticeably grainier.

I was hoping to keep under $250 if possible (realizing that you get what you pay for).

Basically looking for a screen to (1) park my email out of the way but still be visible and (2) be able to run one set of software full screen and have Youtube tutorials open on the other so I'm not switching back and forth.
