Screen goes randomly black

HI everyone

I have a late 2009 imac 27", I have been experiencing a random black screen I have already done a bit research to find a fix for the issue.
I have done the Pram reset but no luck. I have also done the torch test and I can see the screen in the background, so can I presume it's not the logic board?
I have seen a lot of talk about replacing the inverter board is this something that can be replaced easily? and does anyone know where I can purchase one within the UK.
any helpful advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Ps atm I am doing a test on the brightness currently running at 4 to see if it goes off.
