Hi. Went to use Safari this morning -- and yesterday, and noticed that when I entered a URL in the address bar that Safari reset it to the homepage. Had to enter the site name more than once to get it to connect. Anyone else having this problem?

Nope. Safari always goes to the page I've entered, whether by typing it in, from a link, or from a bookmark.

If enter a valid URL like then Safari will go to that address. If you put in an incorrect URL but in the right format you will get an error saying "Safari can't find the server". If you enter just a word, Safari will search for that word in your chosen search engine.

What version of macOS and Safari? Use QuickTime Player to do a screen recording so that we can see what you are seeing.
