Alright, I broke down and called AppleCare... First 36 minutes talking to the support guy didn't get anything done except for me telling them that I didn't believe re-installing Safari would correct the iSync and Mail issue also. Oh, I didn't mention above that at the same time as the Safari issue came about I was unable to access my Gmail account using Mail or iSync to sync with my .Mac account. Later that day..... I was transfered to another person who spent the next hour and ten minutes troubleshooting my unusual problem. Her name was Wendy. Wendy was very nice and tried to help but need to enlist her cube neighbors for advice. Solution after 1 hour and 46 minutes I was instructed to Archive and Re-install OS X. Wendy told me how to do it and what to expect and asked me to install all updates then try to recreate the error. After another 40 minutes or so I reinstalled OS X and updated with the couple of patches and..... <insert victorious SuperHero music here> ISSUE RESOLVED! Both "specialists" were nice and attitude wise they both get an "A rating". The first person said that I won issue of the day! I do have to give props to OS X for easily allowing you to re-install the OS and maintain all programs and settings. All in all, this experience has been eductional about OS X troubleshooting techniques. Thanks AppleCare!
