Replaced charging port on 2012 MacBook, still not charging

I have a 13” MacBook Pro 2012 (A1278) that doesn’t charge. Whenever i plugged in the charger, the light wouldn’t come on. Checked the battery life button and that would turn on (blinking red) so i figured it was the MagSafe port. I replaced the port and it’s still not charging, however. Don’t know where to go from here. Any help is appreciated!

You could have a bad battery. Or the DC input board is not working.

How long have you been having this problem?
Was it sudden, or slowly start getting worse?
You weren't exactly clear, but is your computer completely dead and won't start?
Did you try resetting the SMC?
