Could i put a dvd drive in my g4? i have a samsund dvd drive i pulled from a pc, is it compatible? of does it have to be a certain type and brand?

Some PC drives will work, others will not. I've never encountered any problems with trying a PC drive in a mac as far as breaking anything goes, so you might try it and see what happens.
