I heard that Apple is going to be releasing G5 imac around this September I also read that that would hint at G5 powerbooks. As of the current both ibooks and powerbooks have G4's. I can spend about 1400, so I figured ibook was the way to go. My question is that if they were to put G5's in powerbooks would the price remain the same, because if it did I would definatly spring for a 1600 12" powerbook instead of the ibook. Also can the ibook really run games like unreal turnament and halo on only 32 megs of video ram. I was told it could because of the OS, but does anyone own a new G4 ibook that knows from experience. If so please respond. I may wait until December in hopes that the ibook or powerbook will update. The last thing I want is to buy an ibook with 32 meg. of V-ram and then have an update 2 - 3 months later with 64 megs. I was hoping they would up it to 64 because ibooks have always been maxed at 32 for awhile now. A thanks in advance.
