And Brisbane will be hit tonight and tomorrow morning. I can't get there to take pics as I don't drive. And even if I could most of the roads there are flooded. As are the railway tracks so no trains either.

Photos from my the centre of my town taken by me at like 8am-11am today.

My god. It must be horrific. Where are you standing to take these pictures? And where is your house? (Not floating I hope) We had a bad flood here in '87 (way before I was born) but you hear the locals talking about it. Stay safe, and hope it ends soon. :|

Wow, hard to get a picture how hard this must be even with pictures.
I read on wikipeadia that the leading industry is tourism, so that will have a gigantic blow on the state. :(
Tourism mining and agriculture is big here. And all flooded out.

Hehe
Thanks... I think we'll be just fine.
Island/Continent/Country with a "she'll be right" attitude.... Unsinkable as long as we keep moving forward, grow culturally, and look after our neighbours :)

If we were to sink, I'm sure we'd find a way to live underwater.

According to the Y2K nuts the world was supposed to end in 2000
According to Skynet, the world was supposed to end in 1997
According to 2012 the world is to end in 2012
According to the Billy Joel song the world should end in 2017.

And so on and so on :).
