first off let me say that my Safari, like everything else in my MacBook Pro (from Sept 2010), is very old.

this applies to DESKTOP ONLY, as it pertains to the hover function..

on the thumbnails of my photo site

when you hover a thumbnail, the opacity for the thumbnail changes, but NOT in Safari, no problem with any other browser....

before starting to troubleshoot, I wanted to find out if this is only because my Safari is so old.. (i.e., does it happen other computers too?)

thank you very much...

On Big Sur, Safari 14.1.1 and site and hover behave the same as on Vivaldi, which is it highlights with no issues.

Congratulations on maintaining a 2010 MBP, I have one myself which I use to run all my old 32bit apps and games. So far it continues to function as expected, a testament to the reliability of early Macs.

thanks!! :)

true... in spite of the fact that it's gotten slow and stuff it's still pretty reliable.. (& the HD has 500 GB capacity, so no problem there....:)
