Camera: Creative PC-Cam 750 (web cam) Date: Thursday Feb. 8, 2007 Location: My office Yesterday there was a crane outside my office window. The air conditioning compressor to our server room died a week or so ago, and it needs to be replaced. The compressor is on the roof of our building, so they needed to put a new one up there for installation this weekend. Until then, we have large fans at the two doors to the server room, making a kind of wind tunnel to keep the machines cool. The contrast is a bit whimsical. You might notice a little snow in the picture (and salt in the parking lot). Yesterday the temperature ranged from around 10 to 30F (roughly -10 to 0C). This building is 5 years old. There's something wrong about needing to use air conditioning in the winter.
