Ok, let me try again. By the way, Ratz, my earlier post wasn't really directed at you. I know I quoted you, but it wasn't really necessary. Sorry if I offended you. The common misconception that I see is that somehow Powerbook has more power than iBook in running the multimedia applications. That's all I'm trying to say. When people talk about Powerbook, it sounds as if Powerbook has inherent advantage in running some applications (like Photoshop or video editing software) faster than iBook. The reason Powerbook is faster than iBook is because it has a faster processor. Not because "it's a Powerbook". For example, if you buy a 1GHz Powerbook that's on sale on www.apple.com, the performance will be roughtly the same as 1GHz iBook. I write software for a living. And to me the way Photoshop runs is the same as the way Safari runs on Powerbook. Yes, they are written for different audience, but they basically function in the same way. One application does not require special hardware to run than the other. BTW, G5 is about 2-3 times faster than G4 at the same clock rate. You will notice considerable difference on a G4 based computers, whether it's Powerbook or iBook.
