Opinions about Epson EcoTank ET2800 printer?

My Canon Pixma printer has been delivering poor printouts of late. I did a nozzle printout and it looks fine. Does the head need cleaning or do I need a new printer already? And what are your thoughts about the Epson printer in the thread title? I've heard everything from "It saves $$$ on ink" to "poor construction--won't last".

Make sure that your Canon's heads are aligned, as well as clear of clogging.
