I do recommend checking out Open Office to see if it will meet your needs, but as much as I hate to say it, the Office suite is really nice, especially on Apple hardware... so if you can afford it, it may be worth it. Anyway, Open Office isn't exactly "fast," it's a word processor... the thing <em>should</em> load in half a second, but it's quick enough that it's not too annoying, and it doesn't slow down the rest of your machine if you have 2GB of RAM (unless you're trying to run WoW or another game in the background <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite7" alt=":p" title="Stick out tongue :p" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":p" /> )</p></blockquote><p></p>
