My new Macbook Pro sometimes can't connect to the internet after sleeping (I don't close the lid, just start the screensaver when I'm not going to be using it for an hour or more).

Wifi is still on and connected to my network according to System Preferences Network. But neither Mail nor my browser (Opera) can access the internet. The only fix seems to be to restart.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,
Stan

Have you tried turning off the Wi-Fi for a few seconds, then turning it on again?

Try resetting the SMC. That should help if it's a system management problem. Also, you might want to try another browser although that shouldn't matter all that much.
