[QUOTE="AbbyPanda, post: 1813948, member: 401808"] Thanks chscag The problem isn’t even editing software..I don’t think: this is an image I edited on my laptop in photoshop before I bought the iMac. I upsized it and sharpened it for print. I always look at the final image full screen using “preview” which in my laptop takes a sec or two to load if it’s a very large file When I got the iMac I moved the file there to see it on the big screen. Upon opening it in preview it’s there but slightly blurry for 5 min till it sharpens and fully renders. I considered maybe it was just the image and tried opening other large images I had set for print and same problem on all I do have lr on the new iMac it seems to run a little slow loading and scrolling through images but I haven’t used it much yet. Just did a test on Corel painter it seems to work ok so the issue seems to be mostly loading large images for viewing The image is 32x40” 300 dpi about 84 mb in this example. Other test images were around 40” on the long side 50 mb.... all same results blurry for 5 min then finally sharpens in focus The computer loads smaller web sized images fine I didn’t have other programs running hogging ram and I don’t even have hardly anything installed on this iMac yet My laptop runs the old os this new imac has Mojave Si what gives???
