[QUOTE="Bryceworld, post: 1333232, member: 225888"] Hi everyone, So I have a mid 2010 macbook pro 13 and just after a year the hard drive failed. I took it to the apple store and the genius guy said it's x amount to put a 320 gig back in or you can buy a 500 gig for half the cost if you install it yourself. That part I feel comfy with... but my knowledge with hard drives is another thing. He said anything would do as there isn't a 'mac' thing about most of them out there. What can you recommend for someone who uses photoshop a tonne and is just about to enter the rhelm of editing? I'm after speed, space & reliability!!! Solid state is the way to go yeah? I don't really want anything to reduce my battery life or cause overheating (just a couple of things I've read quickly but don't really understand the tech talk behind it, yeah I'm a newbie) What brand/s do you guys recommend?
