Hi guys,

I have a quick question on something very annoying and maybe you can help me.

Each time I turn my iMac on after turning off for the night, so probably every 2 or 3 days, I have to enter all my passwords for everything.
(Gmail, Google..)
Also, if I add a playlist or a new album on iTunes it disappears everytime.
It's like my Mac was amnesic.

Do you have any idea where the problem comes from ?

Many thanks for your help !

What year is your iMac? Is everything else working fine? This problem only happens when you shut it off but it is fine if you just let it sleep so when it wakes up it still remembers everything?

About the only idea I would have would be to do an SMC reset and an NVRAM/PRAM reset. It can't hurt but this is a puzzler. Hopefully someone else chimes in and has an idea.

Hey Lisa,

Many thanks for your reply !

It's an old one, 2011.
I think, sometimes it happens after sleeping..

I'll try to check what you suggested.

Thanks again

Nico
