You are probably correct…that your Powermac G5 is beeping 50 times every 10 minutes. But technically it is beeping in a repeating pattern. Since we are talking about a recent ram upgrade…that beeping pattern is probably 3 beeps…then a short pause…3 beeps…short pause…3 beeps…short pause...etc etc. These beeps mean that there is a problem with the ram. Either it is: - not seated properly in the ram slots - the ram is bad/faulty - its the wrong ram for the computer - the ram is not installed in matching pairs I'm not sure how many sticks of new ram you installed. But I would remove all the new ram…and install the old ram. The beeping should stop. - If the ram is not seated properly. Then the ram needs to be removed…and reinstalled/reseated. - If the new ram you got is the correct ram…then you must reinstall them in matching pairs. So you could reinstall some of the ram in matching pairs (one pair at a time). And see what happens (beeping or no beeping). Use this process to identify the bad/faulty ram. - If the ram is the wrong ram…then the ram needs to be returned…and the correct ram purchased. - And of course check to be sure the ram is installed as matching pairs. And that's matching pairs in the correct ram slots. You should refer to a ram install diagram for a Powermac G5 showing how the ram needs to be installed. HTH, - Nick
