Last night, I got my first kernel panic on my mbp c2d. I've had it for about 3 months. At the time, I was downloading a file and surfing the web. I clicked on a youtube link and all of the sudden i got that grey screen where it says to restart. Right after the kernel panic, I restarted as it said and did a repair disk permission and it said it repaired a a flash player plugin or something like that. Do I need to worry about anything? I'm not very good with computers, and this has me a little worried. here is the actual log. Thu Feb 15 18:56:09 2007 panic(cpu 0 caller 0x0035ACCF): mbuf address out of range 0x696c0700 Backtrace, Format - Frame : Return Address (4 potential args on stack) 0x140ebab8 : 0x128d08 (0x3c9afc 0x140ebadc 0x131de5 0x0) 0x140ebaf8 : 0x35accf (0x3ea238 0x696c0700 0x140ebb68 0x1416ad) 0x140ebb18 : 0x239929 (0x1 0x2 0x0 0x25d77b00) 0x140ebc28 : 0x2384d1 (0x396b228 0x28 0x1 0x302a8c0) 0x140ebe08 : 0x22d1f4 (0x25d77b00 0x14 0x140ebe380x1a1ec0) 0x140ebe48 : 0x22ec55 (0x25d77b00 0x14 0x6 0x0) 0x140ebf58 : 0x21c3d1 (0x25d77b00 0x25d77b00 0x44407c 0x1a1ec0) 0x140ebf98 : 0x202c8e (0x2d3ee04 0x25d77b00 0x25b73812 0x1) 0x140ebfc8 : 0x19a77c (0x0 0x0 0x19d0b5 0x2c3aac0) Backtrace terminated-invalid frame pointer 0x0 it actually had something to do with the wireless airport. i found this document: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=303712 but i'm already running 10.4.8 i also had to do a disc repair. verify disk found one error. everything seems fine now. what did i do to get the kernel panic? i don't want another.
