What I suggest is boot your iMac to safe boot mode (hold down the shift key as soon as you hear the boot sound) and run it that way for awhile to see if the same thing happens. Let us know.</p><p></p><p>Safe boot disables all third party drivers and start up apps. It also disables the sound and additionally runs a verify on your hard drive.</p></blockquote><p></p>
