Migrate or Re-install ??????

I'm currently using a MacBook Pro (non unibody) for music production and just recently purchased an Imac 21.5 to use as my main set up, using the MBpro as my mobile set up. I want to move all of the DAW's and SoftSynths form my MBpro to the iMac. Is Migration Assistant an option, or would installing all of the software into the iMac be a better solution?

2019 iMac 27"; 2020 M1 MacBook Air; macOS up-to-date... always.
Migration Assistant would be a great option to use.
