I notice we have many designations. We have Member, Active Member, Senior Member, Well-Known Member, etc.

I'm just curious as to the designation criteria, e.g., how to you become an Active Member or a Senior Member? If it was based on age, I would qualify as a Very Senior Member, lol.

LOL, many of us fit that "Senior" category. (Sorry no Senior discounts allowed.) :rofl

The membership titles are based on an algorithm that looks at how long you've been a member, how many posts you have, and how often you post.

We have members who have been with us for a very long time but rarely post. Their title might be just "Member".

The Staff is currently looking at a paid membership (contribution) that would have some special privileges that go along with it. Like no advertising, special forum access, and perhaps more. We will announce it when it's ready to be implemented.

Stay with us and thanks for your membership!

I'm not complaining here but I am a little mystified by this myself. It really doesn't bother me but I have been a member since 2011 (some of that as a paid member) 7,413 messages, a reaction score of 534 and 113 points. I post something nearly every day but still just a member.
I can only say the algorithm must be set pretty high.

I'll check your stats in the data base Rod.

The Data Base shows you listed as a "Senior Member". I can't figure out why it's not showing up under your title?

Also.... do us a favor: Edit your personal profile and put in your email address. I had to go thru about 27 pages of the data base to get to your name. There are tons of "rod" stuck between names, first and last. Searching for you by email address would be much faster.

If anyone should be a Senior Member, it would be Rod. He has helped me on several occasions, and he is often the first one to respond, even with our time differences....Australia versus Arkansas.

Congrats on your new 'promotion', Rod!(y)

I'm probably due for a demotion since the quantity and quality of my posts have greatly diminished over the past couple years. 😂

Hey, thanks for the clarification - I had no idea how designations were decided. And thank the Lord you are not using age as a qualifier!!!

If you ever decide how you will handle a paid subscription just let me know. I am on board with providing financial support. I don't really care about special incentives. I know maintaining this forum is costing someone and I am happy to help.
