I started out with a Magic Mouse on my Mac Pro. I do a lot of detailed movements in Photoshop and Premiere Pro. The magic mouse drove me nuts. I switched to a Magic Trackpad and I love it. I will qualify this by saying I have a Macbook Pro that I use as a back up and I am very comfortable using a trackpad to manipulate various things in the above programs. I have another co-worker who occasionally uses my Mac Pro to edit. He can not stand the trackpad. I have to reconnect the magic mouse for him to use. If you have no experience using a trackpad you might not like it. As chascag suggested try one and return it if you do not like it. I suggest trying the Magic Mouse first and if you like it - great! The trackpad can be a new learning experience for your hand. Lisa
