MacBook Air (2019) + Dell Dock Station WD19s - Ethernet issues

I have a MBA 2019 (i5) and a new Dell WD19S dock station. I also have a Dell laptop from work.

The dock station works perfectly with my Dell laptop, but it is not working properly with my MBA. First I was having issues with the mouse and keyboard, which are connected to the dock station. After upgrading the firmware of the dock station, mouse and keyboard are working fine (mouse can be a bit slow immediately after turning on the system, but then it works just fine).

However, the ethernet is now acting weird. Sometimes I have full speed through the ethernet, but sometimes my internet simply disconnects for a while or is very slow. This does not happen when I'm using my Dell computer, only the MBA.

Does anybody have a suggestion here?

I actually have a question first.

On the Dell website it says this dock station requires

OS Required
Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows 10, Windows 11, Ubuntu 18.04

....are you using one of those on the Mac?
