It saves files in .png format. If you want to change to another format it can be accomplished easily by using Terminal and following the directions <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2014/07/31/how-to-change-mac-screenshot-file-format/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #e4af09">here.</span></a> You can change location of the screenshots following the directions <a href="http://www.idownloadblog.com/2014/06/15/how-to-change-where-screenshots-are-saved-on-mac/" target="_blank"><span style="color: #e4af09">here</span></a>. If, like me, you're allergic to Terminal you can change this setting using Onyx or several other utilities. </span></span></p><p></p><p><span style="color: #454545"><span style="font-family: 'Arial'">Thanks to member Harryv2448 for posting an excellent overview of Online security for Macs. <a href="https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3291" target="_blank"><span style="color: #e4af09">Here’s</span></a> a link to the post which contains an excellent summary as well as a few excellent tips. This time he has some has some thoughts about using the <a href="http://www.macworld.com/article/3018384/data-center-cloud/how-to-collaborate-on-documents-using-iwork-and-icloud-com.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #e4af09">iWork and iCloud for collaboration on documents </span></a> </span></span></p><p></p><p><span style="color: #454545"><span style="font-family: 'Arial'">Here’s another useful article from Kirk about <a href="http://www.macworld.com/article/3017425/software/turn-a-mac-mini-into-a-media-server-with-plex.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: #e4af09">using Plex as a media server</span></a>. Although the article focuses on use of the Mac Mini as a sever, numerous other Macs could serve the same function. If you’ve gotten a new Ma c recently and want an interesting use for the old one this might be right up your alley.</span></span></p></blockquote><p></p>
